Welcome to another outstanding year at Rolling Hills
Middle School!
Thank you for joining the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and for contributing to the many programs
supported by PTA this year:
- Classroom
funds for additional supplies
- The
“Read One Million” Literacy Program
- Enrichment
Grants for special classroom and/or staff needs
- Annual
Math Competition event
- Technology
upgrades
- New
playground equipment for students to use at break and lunch
- Student
Recognition programs such as Honor Society, Academic Awards, Student of
the Week, Community Service club, Special Day class incentives and
Presidential Physical Fitness awards
- 5th
grade field trip bus costs
- 6th
grade science camp scholarships
- Living
History events: 5th gr. Colonial Day, 6th gr.
Ancient Societies Day, 7th gr. Renaissance Day, 8th
gr. Career Day
- 8th
grade events: Exhibition project, Heath education and Promotion ceremony
- Nutritious
snacks and/or breakfast during testing week for all students
I know with our community of parents, teachers, students and
staff working together, we can continue to make Rolling Hills
Middle School a great
experience for all. Thank you to Karen
Bustamante and Sue Odom for
chairing the fundraising event this year to raise additional monies needed to
support the above programs.
I would also like to thank the volunteers who worked
numerous hours compiling the membership and volunteer databases, creating this
directory and distributing it. A special thank you to our PTA Vice President, Christie Ross, and Amanda
Morris for coordinating this project as well as many other school related
activities.
